Starting to compete

The easiest way to get started in competitions is to take part in competitions for members of your own club. Ask your club's coaches and members if they organize any competitions for members and how to enter them. Regional recreational competitions are a good way to start competing outside your club.

Official (ranking) competitions accepted/sanctioned by the Finnish Badminton Association

All official competitions accepted/sanctioned (ranking competitions) by the Finnish Badminton Association can be found in Tournamentsoftware. You can search for and register for competitions in Finland on the website once you have registered as a user. Instructions for registration and entry can be found on the National tournament entries guidance page.

Badminton Tournament Planner (BTP) must be used to plan all national tournaments sanctioned by the Badminton Association, as it is the basis for the Badminton Association's player ranking calculation. The BTP also makes it easy to publish competitions on a common competition website. The license keys for the BTP application are paid for and sent to all clubs organizing national competitions by the Badminton Association.
