The youth age categories are open to players who are under the age limit - 19, 17, 15, 13, 11, 9 - for the entire calendar year in which the competition is played.
Players in age groups 19, 17, 15, 13, 11 and 9 may participate not only in their own age group but also in the next higher age group. If a player in age groups 15, 13, 11 and 9 performs well enough in a higher age group to gain the top 10 in the points table of some discipline, he/she shall be entitled to participate in the next higher age group in that discipline.
