Badminton Finland and Tervasulka organise BWF level 1 coach education in Oulu in November 2026

Place: Nallisport, Vellamontie 9, 90150 Oulu

Time:
- Teams meeting Sat 31 October 10-12,
- 1. weekend 7-8 November and
- 2. weekend 28-29 November
The rough schedule during the weekends: Sat 9-19, Sun 9-16.

Primary language: English, but you can also use Finnish for homework/practical deliveries. The manual is available in both English and Finnish (and 10 other languages, too)

Tutor: Pekka Rantanen

Price: 240€/person (will be invoiced). Lunch is included every day (but accommodation is not included).

Pre-course requirements (BWF):
- At least 18 years old before the start of the course
- Basic understanding of the Laws of Badminton (e.g. scoring)
- Be able to play all basic strokes of the game to produce recognisable differences in flight (clear, drop, smash)
- Have an understanding of the responsibility involved in coaching players
- Read course material prior to arrival in preparation for course discussions

If there are vacant spots, we can take under aged participants, but they cannot get the BWF diploma. If they pass, they can get a Finnish level 1 diploma. If your plans change, please cancel your registration, so we can take in the next one from the queue!
